Windows XP > Updates

This update-list contains the most current updates which can be slipstreamed by HFSLIP into a Windows-XP installation-CD. If you expect an update which is not on the list, please read the change log of this list. There you can find the information why an update is not listed here.

Windows XP SP3 comes with IE6, WMP9, RDC6 (with RDP 6.1) and MSXML3&6. Take care to use the correct updates for Internet Explorer (IE6 or IE8), Media Player (WMP9 or WMP11) and Remote Desktop Connection (RDC6 or RDC7). If you want to be prepared also with MSXML4 (which is not standard, in addition to MSXML3&6) take the corresponding updates.

How to use this list

1. Use table 1 to get Service Pack 3 (if your source doesn’t contains it already) and further main-updates.
2. From table 2 you should take all security updates, but take care to use only these updates corresponding to your selected main-updates.
3. Select non-security updates for Windows (table 3), Internet Explorer (table 4) and Media Player (table 5).
4. Make HFSLIP work by taking additional files from table 6. If you like, take updates from table 7 and table 8 for online update sites.
5. Using the file-checker is recommended to check the updates in the HFSLIP-subfolders.
